The PR-G 196 is a circular trail, measuring 10.8 km in length (plus a 550 m long side track) that runs through the parish of San Miguel de Castro, which stands on the banks of the river Ulla and whose dominant feature is the Coto archaeological site.
The first highlight you come to is the chapel of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias, founded in 1707 in the Albergaria and transferred in 1880 to Seixo, as well as the old Royal Way, along which the Via de la Plata (Silver Road) runs as it approaches Santiago de Compostela. Other features worthy of mention are the Castro Viewpoint, the Prado granary and other traditional buildings, the Gundian train bridges, and the vegetation along the banks of the River Ulla.
