San Miguel de Castro Church

In the year 912, Bishop Sisnando assigned Abbot Guto, from the monastery of San Sebastián del Picro Sacro, two thirds of the vows this church paid the monastery of San Martiño.
In 1115, Queen Urraca donated the church of San Miguel de Castro to the monastery of Camanzo.

Only the apse remains from the original Romanesque church, the upper part of which has been extensively reconstructed. There are several authors who refer to wall paintings that covered the entire church, which have nowadays disappeared under the whitewashing.
