San Miguel de Castro (fort)

The fort of San Miguel is a rocky promontory 287 metres high in which remains of ceramic and a mill were found.

Although there is no evidence of its function as a place of residence during the Iron Age, it might have functioned as a settlement for the control of the territory.

Located at the northern end of the town council, from this point you can see the mountains which, along with the river Ulla, delimit the territory of A Estrada.
